Get ready to thrive with Tisha! She is a busy mom, wife, engineer and wellness coach - another beautiful multi-hyphenate soul. In order to manage her autoimmune disease, Tisha was forced to change her lifestyle. Through her trials, she learned how to create fitness and food routines for her body and effectively establish discipline - all habits that allow her to thrive. She created her Instagram and blog to share her journey and services, centered on the mission to teach women how to make wellness a priority and build confidence. In this episode, we discuss:

(1) Personal Fitness and Health Philosophy

  • Our minds will believe whatever we tell it to believe. We have to push ourselves to do the work that we need to accomplish and take care of ourselves.

  • Make a note for yourself at your work station to remind yourself to check in throughout the work day. How long have you been sitting? Do you need water? Have you eaten a meal or snacks to keep your energy up? Do you need a wellness break?

  • Your body benefits from movement, even if you didn’t sweat.

  • Don’t forget about the non-scale victories - you showed up for yourself, you held yourself accountable. Great job!

(2) What does a balanced diet mean?

  • A balanced diet includes fruit, vegetables and protein, and listen to your body.

  • We share our personal journeys in finding balanced diets and food preferences.

(3) Improve your mind-body connection

  • Try to incorporate deep breathing and do things that bring you joy every day. And do it for YOU. It can be as little as 15 minutes a day. Think of it as, 15 minutes of daily self care.
